Aging Studies & Caregiving
We combine technological and biobehavioral interventions to tackle critical aging and caregiving issues: sleep health, chronic illness, and palliative care, among others. Our research priorities include dementia care, where we study caregiving networks and deliver evidence-based education programs. Through collaboration across disciplines, we turn research into scalable solutions.
Finding Hope in Caregiving
When dementia enters a family’s life, the world can feel uncertain and overwhelming. Professor Ken Hepburn saw that struggle and asked: “How can we help caregivers not just cope, but thrive?” His research led to the Savvy Caregiver Program — a guide for families and friends learning to navigate daily challenges while creating moments of peace and connection. Born from collaboration with the University of Minnesota, Savvy Caregiver now reaches thousands through online and tailored versions, easing stress and restoring confidence for those who give so much.
