How We Serve

Care Beyond Borders

Healthcare spans regions, cultures, and systems in ways it never has before. A global mindset and a commitment to community partnership prepares you to lead with confidence and humility, and provide outstanding care wherever it’s needed.

Health Care in Context

Care looks different when you see the full picture

You start to notice what defines health — the distance to the nearest clinic, the cost of a prescription, the history that influences trust. A broader perspective changes how you think about your role and how you deliver care.

Leadership Starts With Listening

Trust Builds Through Consistency

When you listen to a local nurse explain how they make supplies last or a community leader shares their stories, you learn that care is built alongside the people who know it best. And that trust is built in small moments.

Staying Centered Through Uncertainty

Learning When Things Don’t Go as Planned

A power outage during a clinic or a plan that changes mid-shift shows what it means to provide care through uncertainty. At Emory, you learn how to stay centered, make decisions and keep care moving — a foundation for confident and compassionate leadership.

Service Learning

Turning Service Into Practice

Through service learning, students and faculty work alongside community partners to provide clinical care and health education in Georgia and across the world, including the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Peru, and more.

Community Partnerships

Caring for Georgia’s Farmworkers

Our focus on global health includes our local communities. Each summer, students and faculty provide essential health services to farmworkers in rural Georgia. For more than 30 years, the program has served more than 15,000 workers and their families.
