Fellows of the American Academy of Nursing
The American Academy of Nursing inducted 16 members of the Emory community into its 2025 Class of Fellows. Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners
The American Association of Nurse Practitioners inducted two members of the Emory Nursing faculty — Lori Modly and Quyen Phan — as Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Georgia Nursing Hall of Fame
Roy L. Simpson of Emory Nursing has been selected for induction into the 2026 Georgia Nursing Hall of Fame by the Georgia Nurses Foundation.
National Academy of Medicine Award
The National Academy of Medicine awarded Emory Nursing Former Dean Linda McCauley the David Rall Medal.
Provost’s Distinguished Teaching Award
The Emory Provost’s Distinguished Teaching Award for Excellence in Graduate and Professional Education honors one faculty member in each of Emory’s graduate and professional schools for exceptional teaching. Susan Brasher was named a 2026 honoree from the School of Nursing.
Emory Williams Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award
The Emory Williams Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award is presented to faculty members from each of Emory’s four undergraduate schools during Commencement every year. Patricia Moreland was named a 2025 honoree from the School of Nursing.

Award of Distinction
Each year, the Award of Distinction recognizes up to 15 university employees who made outstanding contributions to the Emory community. In 2026, Ashley Chilla, associate director of admission in the School of Nursing, received the award for playing a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of nurse leaders through a strategic, student-centered approach to enrollment.
