Laboratory Support
The Office of Nursing Research welcomes all School of Nursing faculty, postdocs, and PhD students to use laboratory support services. Laboratory support is provided if you are including a collection of biological samples in your research protocol.
Laboratory support includes:
- Consultation on study design, sample preparation, and analysis.
- Collection of biological samples storage and inventory biospecimens.
- Analysis of samples using commercially available ELISA and PCR kits.
- Samples preparation for the Emory core facilities.
- Samples tests cost estimation for a grant proposal.
Biobehavioral Research Lab
Wet Lab
The Biobehavioral Research Laboratory is a 400-square-foot dedicated space that serves as a resource for the School of Nursing and affiliated researchers. Equipped for processing and analyzing samples, the lab is outfitted with a Beckman Coulter refrigerated centrifuge, a four-degree refrigerator, one -20°C and three -80°C freezers for long-term storage of clinical samples. Additionally, the lab offers a biotech plate reader, ultra-pure water maker, pipettes, blood drawing supplies, processing tubes, and other equipment and supplies that advance the range of biobehavioral research conducted in the School of Nursing.
