I Am Currently...

Our Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program is perfect for the high school graduate looking to enter the nursing profession. 

Students will complete their general education prerequisites during their first two years at Emory University or Oxford College and will transfer into the School of Nursing their junior year. Students must apply directly to Emory or Oxford for Freshman admission.

Current Emory and Oxford students are eligible for our Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program option. Students may apply and be admitted to the nursing program while the general education prerequisites are in progress. 

Students must be admitted to Emory or Oxford to be eligible for this program.

Undergraduate students at colleges and universities outside of Emory can complete the first two years of general education prerequisites (60 hours) and then transfer into our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Students may apply and be admitted to the nursing program while the general education prerequisites are in progress. 

Explore BSN Transfer Program

Our Master of Nursing (MN) program allows students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in another discipline to enter the school without having first earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Students are eligible to take the NCLEX and become a registered nurse upon completion of the MN program.

Our MN program has multiple start dates and options to continue your education and receive a master’s or doctoral degree.

Students with a BSN degree who want to take the next step in their nursing journey are eligible for our No. 1 ranked Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program.

Our MSN program is designed to fit your needs. We offer a traditional, full-time format and a flexible, part-time format that can be completed over two or three years. We also offer a variety of acute and primary advanced-practice specialties.

APRN Specialties

Ready to take your nursing degree to the next level? Students with a master’s degree in nursing can pursue further post-graduate certificate APRN specialties, enter our Doctor of Nursing Practice or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia programs, or apply to our research-focused PhD in Nursing program.

Post-Graduate Certificate APRN Specialties

Our dual-degree programs are a fit for bachelor’s-prepared nurses with an interest in next level nursing preparation combined with public health or bioethics.

Dual-Degree Options

BSN or MN graduates interested in advancing their careers in nursing leadership are eligible to apply for our Post-BSN/Post-MN Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

MSN graduates interested in advancing their careers in nursing leadership are eligible to apply for our Post-MSN Doctor of Nursing Practice program.

Additionally, our Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) DNP program option is perfect for those who wish to provide anesthesia care in a variety of settings.

Our PhD in Nursing program is a fit for BSN or MSN-prepared nurses who wish to further their careers in research or teaching. We offer PhD specialties from AI to pediatrics, drawing on the strengths of Emory university and our partner institutions.
