Interdisciplinary Opportunities
Power of Partnership
Approximately a third of the school's research faculty come from outside nursing, paving the path for meaningful interdisciplinary partnerships. Associate Professor Sharon Sonenblum, a mechanical and biomechanical engineer, works with nurses, computer scientists, radiologists, and biomedical engineers to develop thermal imaging technology that detects pressure injuries before they become visible and severe.

The school is looking for a full-time postdoctoral trainee for an NIH-funded T32 training grant entitled “Women’s Health and Intersectionality Using Data Science and Health Information Technology”.
