The Icing on the Cake
“Emory was my top choice for nursing school because I am interested in public health policy, and the icing on the cake was their generous financial support.”
— Quentin Brydon, BSN Student
Generous Financial Support
“I chose Emory because they offer a unique, fast track MN program for students with a bachelor’s degree in another discipline, and they also provide generous financial support. I receive the Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholarship, which is given primarily to women in health care.”

— Abby Mutic, 19PhD, MSN, CNM, Assistant Professor
Service-Learning: A Global Approach to Care
Our service-learning initiatives connect you to Emory’s leading partners in Georgia and around the world, providing care to communities in need. Through the Lillian Carter Center (LCC), you can explore service learning projects, engage in global research, and make an impact where it’s needed most.
Committed to Social Responsibility
“As a Fuld Service Learning Fellow, I am applying what I learn in the classroom to the public health challenges facing women and children. I want to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and earn my DNP in midwifery. My goal is to open a private practice and establish a mentoring program for women and children in challenging situations, providing family-centered care to underserved populations.”
— Favour Aibangbee, MN Pathway to MSN Student
Growing Global Research
“I’ve long admired the LCC’s work in global health, service-learning, and community empowerment. I see potential for growing research in a variety of ways like the LCC’s International Visiting Scholars Program, which attracts health professionals from across the globe to foster new research collaborations.”
— Jacob Kariuki, PhD, AGNP-BC, FAHA, Associate Professor and Assistant Director for Global Research, LCC
