Unsung Heroes
With more than 70 researchers and 110-plus projects in a typical year, it takes a large, coordinated effort to keep everything running smoothly. At the center of this effort is the school’s research staff, who manage everything from grant submissions to participant interactions.
Some work directly with specific research teams, while others reside in the Office of Nursing Research, which provides support for data and statistical analysis, laboratory work, pre- and post-award services, and a host of other research development and compliance needs.
“These people are the engine of our research enterprise, keeping everything moving smoothly,” says Assistant Dean of Research Operations Nate Mutic. “They fill the gaps, solve problems before most of us even notice them, and create the trusted environment that allows participants to engage fully. Their skill, compassion, and steady presence form the foundation of our research success.”
