The School of Nursing Diploma, Pinning, and Awards Ceremony is open to all students who have been cleared to graduate. Participation in this ceremony is encouraged, but it is not mandatory. 

Location & Time 

• Location: Emory Student Center
• Date:  Friday, December 12
• DABSN/MN Ceremony Begins: 10 a.m.
• DNP, MSN, PGC Ceremony Begins: 2 p.m.
• Doors Open: Doors will open one hour prior to the ceremony start time 

Student Lineup 

Lineup will take place in the Harland Cinema. DABSN/MN graduates will line up at 9:15 a.m., and DNP, MSN, and PGC graduates will line up at 1:15 p.m.

Reception

There will be a reception after both ceremonies at the School of Nursing (1520 Clifton Road).

Each graduate will be allotted a certain amount guest tickets. The amount of tickets will be communicated to you via Tassel, the university's graduation planning platform. You will receive an invite to use this platform to manage your graduation activities, including confirming your participation in the ceremony, providing a phonetic pronunciation of your name, and securing your guest tickets. Graduating students will not need a ticket. Ticket quantity is determined by venue capacity and number of graduates.

If you do need extra tickets, please consult with your peers to find out if anyone may not be participating in the ceremony or will not be using all of their tickets.

Regalia

Regalia ordering is now closed.

Attire

All graduates are required to wear business casual clothing under their regalia. Flat shoes are recommended.

Parking

Guests and graduates should park in the Michael Street Parking Deck (permit entry)

Gates will be raised starting at 9:00 a.m. for guest parking

Guests that park in the Michael Street visitor deck will incur a fee. Special note: If you obtain a paper ticket when you park, you have parked in the visitor parking deck and will incur charges. We are unable to validate parking for those that park in any of our campus visitor parking decks.
