The School of Nursing Diploma, Pinning, and Awards Ceremony is open to all PhD, DNP, MSN, Post Graduate Certificate, Perfusion, MN, BSN and Distance BSN who have been cleared to graduate. Participation in this ceremony is encouraged, but it is not mandatory.

• Student Lineup Begins: 11 a.m.
• Doors Open: 11 a.m.

Student Lineup 

The student lineup will take place at 11 a.m. the rear of Exhibit Hall AB. There will be event volunteers in place to help guide students to this area. All graduates should enter the building and go through securitywith their regalia draped over their arms. Please do not wear your regalia as you enter the building.

Reception

There will be a reception for all School of Nurisng graduates and their guests after the ceremony in the convention center ballroom. Tickets are not required for the reception.

Each graduate will be allotted seven (7) guest tickets. Graduating students will not need tickets. You will receive an invite to use Tassel, the university's graduation planning platform to manage your graduation activities, including confirming your participation in the ceremony, providing a phonetic pronunciation of your name, and securing your guest tickets. Ticket quantity is determined by venue capacity and number of graduates.

If you do need extra tickets, please consult with your peers to find out if anyone may not be participating in the ceremony or will not be using all of their tickets.

Stop by the second floor of the bookstore starting on Friday, February 20th to purchase this regalia in store. This regalia will continue to be sold in the bookstore until Commencement Day, but after 4/5/26 the stock will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and sizes cannot be guaranteed after that date.

Visit the Grad Fair:

The bookstore will be hosting a Grad Fair on Friday 2/20/26 from 10am-4pm on the second floor of the bookstore. Students can stop by the bookstore to buy regalia, and speak with various graduation-related vendors. We will have representatives from vendors that sell class rings, class portraits, diploma frames, and more.

Attire

All graduates are required to wear business casual clothing under their regalia. Flat shoes are recommended.

Parking

Guests are encouraged to park in the Gas South Convention Center lot.

Details about assisting guests with mobility concerns will be available closer to the event.
