About
Lisa N. Nuñez is the Director of the Lillian Carter Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility at Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. With over a decade of experience in global health education, program development, and community-engaged learning, she oversees international partnerships, student immersions, and strategic initiatives that advance the Center’s mission and Emory’s global vision.
Since joining the Lillian Carter Center for Global Health and Social responsibility in 2014, Ms. Nuñez has held progressive leadership roles, contributing to program operations, data-driven evaluation, global collaborations, and federally funded grant projects. Her work has been recognized through Emory’s Excellence in Social Responsibility Awards (2016,2020) and the Staff Award of Distinction (2024).
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, as well as leadership development certifications from Emory University and NAFSA. Ms. Nuñez is fluent in Spanish and committed to fostering ethical, sustainable, and community-centered global health engagement.
