Daniel Benjamin Giddens
About
With five years of extensive surgical and ECMO experience, I trained at two institutions: Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. My career includes three years at the University of Minnesota, where I was an active member of the Mobile ECMO program, caring for an average of 200 ECMO patients annually. Currently, I am involved in ECMO education at Piedmont Athens and serve as an assistant Professor with Emory. My specific role is simulation coordinator for the perfusion program at Emory School of Nursing
In addition to being a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP), I hold the national ECMO Specialist certification. ECMO holds a deeply personal significance to me, and it has been a lifelong dream to bring this life-saving therapy to home town. My mission is to ensure that patient needs remain the top priority, helping to deliver safe, high-quality ECMO care to our community.
