About

Dr. April Turner Hill is an Assistant Professor, clinical track, and has served as adjunct clinical faculty in the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing since 2021. She is the Progarm Director for the Emergency Nurse Practitioner Program. Dr. Hill completed her DNP in nursing in 2010 at Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. Her research included training nurses in the use of the emergency severity index for triage of emergency patients. Dr. Hill obtained her master’s degree in nursing at Emory University in Atlanta, GA as a Family/Emergency Nurse Practitioner and her BSN in nursing from Augusta University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia) in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Hill is nationally known for her work with the American Academy of Emergency Nurse Practitioners (AAENP) where she served on several boards and as the AAENP Arizona state representative. With nearly 20 years of emergency care experience, she continues to practice as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner.
