Accelerated Programs

These are pre-licensure programs that, upon completion, allow you to become a Registered Nurse (RN). We offer a distance-based BSN and entry-to-practice Master's in Nursing programs. You can complete a degree in as little as 12 or 15 months with the option of continuing your studies to earn an MSN, DNP or PhD.

Distance-Accelerated BSN

Live outside Atlanta’s metro area? Emory’s Distance-Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (DABSN) program allows distance-learners with a previous bachelor’s degree to earn a nursing degree in three semesters (12 months).

Master of Nursing (MN, Pre-Licensure Program)

Complete an entry-to-practice MN degree in 15 months and become an RN.

InEmory MN (Pre-Licensure Program)

Have a bachelor's degree in another discipline and looking for a path to practice with an immediate job opportunity? This entry-to-practice MN program gives students the opportunity to be hired by Emory Healthcare and work in its hospital system following graduation.

MN Pathway to MSN

Interested in becoming an RN and progressing to an advanced practice nurse or midwifery program right away? Students with a bachelor’s degrees in other disciplines can earn an entry to practice (MN) degree in 15 months before starting their MSN program coursework. This is not a dual degree program.

Master's Programs

Our MSN program is designed to fit your needs. We offer a traditional, full-time format and a flexible, part-time format that can be completed over two or three years. Our part-time format is designed for the working nurse and involves online learning with on-campus intensives.

We offer a variety of advanced-practice nurses (APRN) specialties. Not all are offered for each degree level. Students can choose from a range of acute and primary care specialty options or combine their knowledge across disciplines through our two dual degree options. Graduates are prepared to apply for the appropriate APRN certification examinations.

Students who need an F1 visa are not eligible for admission due to the amount of content delivered online. The Department of Homeland Security does not allow our DNP or MSN programs to issue F1 visas.

Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Master in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science

The Master in Cardiovascular Perfusion Science Program trains perfusionists to operate CPB and other life-sustaining mechanical devices for a variety of surgical and medical conditions.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

The only NNP program in the state of Georgia, preparing nurses for advanced practice serving neonates and children through age two. Applications are not being accepted during the 2024 admissions cycle.

Nurse-Midwifery

A path well-suited to those with a strong interest in women’s health, prenatal and postnatal care, this program, offered since 1977, prepares nurses to become leaders and change-makers for women everywhere. Applications are not being accepted during the 2024 admissions cycle.

Continuing Education

Emory Nursing Experience

The Emory Nursing Experience (ENE) is a partnership between Emory Healthcare Nursing Education and Emory University’s Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing that provides quality, continuing nursing education (CNE) activities to practicing nurses.

Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Center

The WOC Nursing Education Program prepares the graduate nurse to provide specialty care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, standard and continent ostomy diversions, and fecal and urinary incontinence. All courses are provided by the Emory Nursing Professional Development Center (ENPDC), an accredited provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Clinical Collaborations

Clinical placements enrich the learning experience for students by giving them a real-world experience with patients in a health care environment. At Emory, we are dedicated to guiding our students through the clinical placement process.

Our students train in numerous clinical sites in Atlanta and across the U.S. in a wide range of clinical settings. The available clinical experiences means you will finish your degree with practical clinical training and will be prepared for nursing, research, and leadership.
