Fuld Service Learning Fellowship
On This Page
Supported by the Helene Fuld Health Trust, the Fuld Service Learning Fellowship is designed for Accelerated MN Pathway to MSN students who demonstrate commitment to scholarship, leadership, and social responsibility as a component of professional nursing practice. This award covers 50% tuition for four semesters of the pre-licensure program and four semesters of the MSN program.
Candidates for this award should have a strong prior history of activities related to social responsibility and articulate definitive plans to work with underserved populations in the United States or abroad.
Over the course of their program of study, Fuld Service Learning Fellows have the opportunity to participate in a fellowship seminar, develop a service-learning project based on an area of personal interest, engage in an immersive service-learning experience in the form of an Alternative Winter or Spring Break Trip, and more. These experiences are coordinated through the Lillian Carter Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility. After graduation, Fuld Fellows re-enter their careers as master's prepared nurses with a deep working knowledge of health issues for vulnerable people — coupled with a strong sense of direction and mission for realistically addressing some of the problems faced by these communities and populations.
