Emory School of Nursing Leaps to 18th in NIH Funding Nationwide

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing continues its meteoric rise among the nation's 600 plus schools of nursing in terms of National Institutes of Health funding.   In recently released figures from NIH, the school leaped 14 notches from number 32 last fiscal year to number 18 among all schools and number six among all private nursing schools.  Click here to read a feature on this achievement in the June 14th issue of the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

How Nellie got her groove back
Just four years ago, there was talk at the highest levels that perhaps the struggling Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing should close its doors. Today, just shy of its 100th birthday, the school has moved its finances into the black, classes are filled, research income is at record levels, and the school's star is rising at Emory and beyond.
