• How to access the S: and T: drives from home:

  
  Prerequisites

  1. You must connect to Virtual Private Networking (VPN) so that your computer can access the Emory network. In Internet Explorer go to http://vpn.emory.edu. Login using your University credentials (i.e. the same username & password as for Emory email).
  2. Click on the link for 'Emory University Remote Network Access'. A small window will open showing the connection being made.
  3. When the connection to VPN is completed the small window will minimize.

  Steps for mapping the S: drive. 

  1. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer.
  2. Click on Tools and choose Map Network Drive.
  3. In the Folder field type in \\170.140.172.36\dept.
  4. Click on the field next to Drive and choose S.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. You will get a login prompt. In the Username field put "nursing\username" and in the Password field put the password you use to login to Windows on your office computer.

   

  Steps for mapping the T: drive. 

  1. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer.
  2. Click on Tools and choose Map Network Drive.
  3. In the Folder field type in \\170.140.172.36\username$ where username is what you would use to login to your office computer. Make sure to put the dollar sign after your username.
  4. Click on the field next to Drive and choose T.
  5. Click Finish.
