The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University is seeking candidates for the Robert W. Woodruff Chair. Applicants for this distinguished professorship should be nationally recognized research scholars with an established record of extramural funding and leadership in their field of study. The individual will have the opportunity to play a key role in collaboration with the research faculty of the School in the development of the research initiatives of the School of Nursing and the University.

This position requires an earned doctorate and a distinguished record of scholarship and research in one of the following fields of study: life sciences; public health; nursing science; or behavioral research. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a strong commitment to scholarship and research, will have an established record of extramurally funded research and will be eligible for appointment in tenured rank at Emory University. If the faculty member is a nurse, an active license to practice nursing in the state of Georgia is also required. Salary and benefits are highly competitive.

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing is part of the Robert W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center that unites components within Emory University concerned with patient care, education of health professionals, research affecting health and illness, and policy: Emory University School of Medicine, Rollins School of Public Health, Emory Hospitals, The Emory Clinic, Wesley Woods Center of Emory University, Yerkes Regional Primate Center, and Children's Hospital. Community partners in health located adjacent to the Campus are the American Cancer Society, Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and The Carter Center.

RN Applicants are required to hold a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing, have experience as a skilled practitioner, possess teaching experience and an active license to practice nursing in the State of Georgia upon the date of hire.  Advanced Practice Nurses will also need professional credentialing and appropriate licensure in accordance with the rules of the Georgia Board of Nursing upon the date of hire.
