Woodruff Programs and Fuld Fellowship

Emory University School of Nursing recognizes academic talent and leadership achievement through a variety of scholarship programs. The information below outlines the various scholarship opportunities, eligibility requirements, and deadlines. All recipients of the awards listed must be accepted to a degree program in the School of Nursing by the deadline and be full-time students (12 semester hours or more) at Emory University.

 

Robert W. Woodruff Programs

Overview
Robert W. Woodruff Fellowship-
Application
The Robert W. Woodruff Fellowship is awarded to BSN-prepared nurses who have been accepted to the Master of Science in Nursing program. Qualified candidates demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, motivation for the study of nursing, impressive skills in communication, significant leadership and creativity in school or community, and clear potential for enriching the lives of their contemporaries at Emory University. Candidates must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 in previous college-level work and a minimum GRE score of 1700 if taken before October 1, 2002 or 1100 on the revised scoring system. Applications must be submitted by February 15. Finalists will participate in campus interviews. The Fellowship carries a full-tuition stipend for four semesters of graduate study.

Robert W. Woodruff Scholarship- Application
The Robert W. Woodruff Scholarship is awarded to a student who has been accepted to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Qualified candidates demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, motivation for the study of nursing, impressive skills in communication, significant leadership and creativity in school or community, and clear potential for enriching the lives of their contemporaries at Emory University.  Candidates must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 in previous college-level work. Applications must be submitted by February 15.  Finalists will participate in campus interviews.  The scholarship carries a full-tuition stipend for four semesters of study.

Fuld Fellowship Program

Overview
Fuld Fellowship - Application
The Fuld Fellowship provides a full-tuition scholarship for Segue students who have a special commitment to social responsibility as a component of professional nursing practice.

Candidates should have a prior history of social responsibility activities and have definitive plans to work with under served populations in the United States or abroad. Students interested in this option will be asked to write an essay and to be interviewed by a selection committee.

The Fuld Fellowship provides for full tuition to cover four (4) semester of baccalaureate program and one calendar year of master's program. 

The Fuld Fellowships are made possible through a grant from the Helene Fuld Trust.
