How to Apply

All applicants are considered on an individual basis. Applications and supporting credentials should be submitted as early as possible in the academic year prior to entrance.

A grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) from all previous college-level course work is preferred. A minimum grade of C is required for all prerequisite general education courses.
The School of Nursing selects those applicants who are best qualified academically and personally. After all application materials are received, the Admission Committee reviews the applicant's credentials and makes the decision to accept or deny admission. Final acceptance is contingent upon satisfactory completion of prerequisites. A final transcript must be submitted prior to enrollment. Following notice of acceptance, a non refundable deposit of $250 is required. This serves as confirmation of intent to enroll, and it will apply to the first semester's tuition.

Self-Managed Applications
The Office of Admission encourages self-managed applications.  This means the application and all related materials are included in one package.  If you choose to self-manage your application, please note:

recommendation forms should be sealed in an envelope with the recommender's signature across the seal

official transcripts should remain unopened and sealed with registrars stamp.
BSN, BSN Second Degree, and BSN/MSN Segue applicants must:

  • Submit a complete application packet, including the following:
Application for admission into the BSN program
Three recommendations, of which at least two must be from college instructors
    Statement of Purpose
Resume outlining work experience, leadership roles, and research opportunities.
A non-refundable $50 application fee. This is waived for current Emory employees and students.
  • Submit official college and university transcripts from all schools attended, regardless if degree was awarded or not.
  • Complete general prerequisite education course work prior to enrollment. Students may apply for admission while taking prerequisite courses.
BSN/MSN Segue Applicants must also:
  • Provide GRE or MAT test scores
  • Complete an interview with the program director of the selected specialty once all other application materials are received
