The School of Nursing invites students, families, friends, and alumni to celebrate student achievement during Winter Awards. This special event that recognizes students who are completing their academic studies at Emory University in December. A special reception will be held immediately following the awards ceremony.

What is the Winter Awards Ceremony?
This event celebrates the academic achievements of students who have successfully completed their degree requirements.

Who participates in this event?
All students graduating in December 2019 or May 2020.

What happens during the event?
Students will be recognized by cohort during a stole presentation. Silver Bowl Awards and Awards of Excellence recognizing student Innovation, Leadership, Collaboration, and Social Responsibility will also be presented during the event. 

There will be a small reception with hors d'oeuvres following each ceremony. This is not a dinner event.

Should my family attend?
Yes, families of both grad and undergrad students are encouraged to attend their respective events.

What do I wear?
Business casual attire is appropriate.

When do I need to arrive?
MSN/DNP ceremony doors will open at 12:30 p.m. Students MUST arrive at the Student Center promptly at 12:15 p.m. for lineup.

ABSN/BSN ceremony doors will open at 3:00 p.m. Students MUST arrive at the Student Center promptly at 2:45 p.m. for lineup.

Where can I park?
Students can park in their assigned parking deck. Family, friends, and guests are encouraged to use Uber, Lyft and Carpooling.

Where can my guests park?
Guests may park in the Michael Street parking deck beginning at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the event.

Will shuttle service be available?
Yes, shuttle bus service from the Michael Street Parking Deck will begin at 12:00 p.m. on the day of the event. Shuttle busses will run continuously until 5:30 p.m. The return shuttle will begin picking up again at 2:30 p.m. following the first event. This shuttle service is available for faculty, staff, and students parking at the Michael Street Parking Deck. Guests are highly encouraged to park at the Michael Street Parking Deck to access guest shuttles or use Uber/Lyft.

What if I have guests who need special assistance?
Information will be made available soon.   

How do I get tickets?
Tickets will be available in the Office of Enrollment and Student Affairs. You must pick up your own tickets. You will be required to confirm receipt with your signature. Guests must present their tickets at the door for entry into the event. Tickets are not required for invited clinical preceptors and faculty. Watch your Emory email for the date when tickets will begin to be available.

*TICKET DISCLAIMER: Lost tickets will not be replaced. Please keep them in a secure place. If you do not plan to use all of your tickets, you may give them to another student that is in need of additional ones.
