Service Learning

Service-learning is an educational experience in which students participate in an organized service activity that meets identified community needs and fosters social responsibility. The activity is integrated into the academic curriculum, enhancing the student's understanding of the course content and appreciation of the discipline.

The School of Nursing provides undergraduate and graduate students with domestic and international service-learning experiences that assure a high-level of integration of service and social responsibility in the curriculum of the school, the development of its students, and community focused research.
