To Become a Wound Treatment Associate

The Wound Treatment Associate (WTA) Program prepares a non-WOC certified nurse to provide optimal care for patients with acute and chronic wounds under the direction of a WOC specialty nurse, WOC advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), or physician.

The program consists online learning modules, narrated by Dr. Phyllis Bonham, PhD, MSN, RN, CWOCN, DPNAP, FAAN, and Dorothy Doughty, MN, RN, CWOCN, FAAN, case studies, followed by on-site competency training and testing. Any licensed nurse is eligible and will receive continuing education contact hours upon successful completion of the Program.
