Funding Priorities

Your gifts play a major role in funding strategic priorities and scholarships for our students. Your contribution can be made online, by phone, or by mail.

Funding Priorities

A gift to the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing supports the faculty, students, and programs that are making an impact on the world every day. Donors help the School of Nursing push the frontiers of scholarship, working to advance the profession and improve patient outcomes. Funding priorities include:

Student Scholarships

Support for scholarships will help ensure that all qualified students have access to an Emory School of Nursing education.

Service Learning

Donor investments support the school’s collaborative work to improve health and well being in the global community while teaching students valuable clinical skills.

Faculty Development

Philanthropy can strengthen the faculty by supporting recruitment, retention, development, promotion, and tenure.

Nursing School Fund

Unrestricted investments in the School of Nursing’s annual fund provide flexible support that allows the dean to invest in strategic priorities throughout the year.

Give your gift in honor or memory

Make your contribution to Emory nursing in honor or memory of a favorite faculty member, friend or loved one.

Give a gift of stocks or securities or through various gift planning options

There are many advantages to funding your gift with highly appreciated stock or naming Emory the beneficiary of tax-burdened assets, such as an IRA. To learn more about this type of giving and compare the varying tax and income features of gift annuities versus charitable remainder trusts visit Emory's Office of Gift Planning.

Take advantage of an employer's matching gift program

Corporate matching gifts can double or even triple the value of your donation—and the donor is credited the total amount of a gift including matching dollars. Check with your company's human resources department or look online to see if you or your spouse's company has a matching gift program.

Emory Employee Giving

Emory employees have achieved great success. You have helped educate leaders, increase understanding of humanity, and serve communities at home and abroad, among many other accomplishments. In the health sciences and health care, you have saved lives, performed vital research, taught the world’s health care leaders, and addressed critical questions of public health.

As an employee, you know the value of Emory better than anyone. Whether you give annually through payroll deduction or a one-time gift, contribute to an endowment, include Emory in your estate plans, or establish a life-income gift, your participation matters. Whether you make a small gift or a large one, your gift counts. Whatever your passion, Emory offers a place to give.
